FIRST OF ALL.

We promise to pay you well, work you hard, make you laugh, drive you crazy, and treat you with respect. We provide the opportunity for your full contribution to work that changes companies and changes lives, no exaggeration.

NOW, THEN.

To be part of SLAP in any position, you have to embody what we call the Three C’s. We don’t mean them to sound harsh—we’re a friendly company—but we learned a long time ago that we can’t do without them. They are the uncompromising criteria for anyone who works for us or with us, and anyone who we work for.

THE THREE C'S

CHARACTER

If you didn’t learn accountability, empathy, self-awareness, and positivity at your mama’s knee, we feel sorry for you. But we’re not going to do without that stuff here, and we’re not going to take on the burden of attempting to teach it to a grown up.

COMPETENCE

SLAP is not a mediocrity factory. You have to want to be great at what you do. That means you bench your performance against your own high standards; you are constantly curious and willing to learn; you are open to feedback from all sources; you marvel at and applaud the expertise of others; you are gaga about quality and impact; and you are self-critical in a healthy way.

COMMITMENT

There is simply no limit to the energy that we will expend to support anyone who works for us. What we’re not willing to do is to use that energy to constantly reach behind and drag someone’s whiny butt along with us. You have to bring your own energy too.

Once we’ve gotten the Three C’s out of the way, you have to be serious about wanting to improve the world by making the business case for humanity, because that’s what we saddle up to do every day. You’ll fit right in if you also appreciate the delicious balance between sacred and irreverent, intense and casual. Our people are stunningly good at what they do and are also a wee bit twisted, each in their own wonderful way.  We don’t discriminate based on race, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, or country of origin. Bring your whole self or don’t show up.

Send us your resume along with a cover letter telling us all about you.
